Privacy Policy

Moira (“Moira”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) is an AI-powered mystical entertainment app. Moira is operated by Berat Ölekli (a sole proprietorship based in Türkiye). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your choices. All readings and content in the app are for entertainment purposes only.

1. Information We Collect

You can use Moira without giving us your name or email. We collect:

Anonymous device identifier. On first launch we generate a random identifier stored on your device so we can keep your profile, token balance, and history. It does not identify you personally.
Photos you provide. Face, coffee-cup, or palm images you voluntarily take or pick for a reading.
Content you enter. Text such as dream descriptions, goals, questions, and messages you send to AI characters.
Usage & token data. Your token balance, readings, and history.
Basic technical data. Standard log/diagnostic data (e.g., app version, error reports) used to keep the service running and secure.

Payments. Purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. We never receive or store your card or payment details.

2. Face Data

Some features (Face Fortune and Past Life) let you provide a photo of your face. We handle face photos with special care:

What we collect. Only the face photo you voluntarily take or pick for a reading. We do not create a biometric template or faceprint, we never use facial recognition to identify you, and we do not use Apple’s Face ID or ARKit face APIs.
How it is used. Your photo is sent to our AI provider (Google — Gemini) to generate your reading or image, and stored on our secure cloud servers (Amazon Web Services, EU region).
How long we keep it & why. We store your face photo only to generate your reading and to let you revisit it in your history. We retain it for as long as your account remains active, and never longer than the lifetime of your account — it is not stored indefinitely.
Deletion. You can request deletion of your data, including stored face photos, at any time by emailing hello@purpfox.com, and we will permanently remove it from our servers (including cloud storage) within 30 days.
We never sell your face data, share it with advertisers, or use it for advertising.

3. How We Use Your Information

To provide the app’s features and generate AI-based personalized content.
To maintain, secure, and improve the service.
To process and validate your purchases.
To respond to your support requests.

4. How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with service providers who help us run the app:

AI provider: Google (Gemini) — to generate readings and images from your input. (Google Privacy Policy)
Cloud hosting: Amazon Web Services (AWS) — to store your data and photos. (AWS Privacy)
Payments: Apple (App Store) — to process in-app purchases. (Apple Privacy)
Advertising: Google AdMob — used to show optional rewarded ads. Ad providers may collect device and usage data for advertising. Where personalized ads are used, we first ask your permission via Apple’s App Tracking Transparency (ATT). We never share your face data or photos with advertisers. (AdMob Privacy)

5. Data Retention

We keep your account data (device identifier, token balance, history) and the photos/results from your readings for as long as your account remains active, so you can revisit your history — and never longer than the lifetime of your account. You can delete individual readings yourself at any time from the History tab in the app. You can also request deletion of all your data, including your photos, at any time by emailing hello@purpfox.com, and we will remove it from our servers within 30 days.

6. Your Rights & Legal Bases

We process your information to provide the features you request (performance of a contract), to operate, secure and improve the app and to process purchases (our legitimate interests), and — where applicable — based on your consent (for example, when you voluntarily provide a photo for a reading). You can withdraw your consent at any time by deleting the relevant content or by contacting us.

Depending on where you live — including under the EU/UK GDPR and Türkiye’s Personal Data Protection Law (KVKK) — you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal data, and to object to or restrict its processing. To exercise any of these rights, email hello@purpfox.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

7. Children

Moira is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.

8. Security

We use industry-standard measures to protect your data. All communication between the app and our servers is encrypted with HTTPS, and photos are stored on secure cloud servers with restricted access. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.

9. International Transfers

Your information may be processed and stored on servers located in the European Union, the United States, or other countries. Where required, we take appropriate measures to protect your data during such transfers.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will indicate changes by updating the “Last updated” date at the top of this page.
